THE WORLD MEDTECH CONFLUENCE 2025 | 11th OCTOBER 2025 AT TAJ EXOTICA, THE PALM JUMEIRAH, DUBAI
The World MedTech Confluence 2025, held on Saturday, 11 October 2025, at the Taj Exotica, The Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, brought together global MedTech innovators, industry leaders, policymakers, and entrepreneurs for a powerful exchange of ideas shaping the future of healthcare technology.
Organised by the Kerala Medical Technology Consortium (KMTC) in collaboration with KSIDC and Startup Middle East, the Confluence spotlighted Kerala’s growing leadership in medical technology innovation, combining world-class R&D, precision manufacturing, and a spirit of global collaboration.
The event began with the inaugural address by Mr. C. Padmakumar, Special Officer, KMTC, who outlined Kerala’s mission to position itself as the MedTech hub of India by 2032. This was followed by Mr. C. Balagopal, Chairman, KSIDC, and Mr. Vishnu Raj, Managing Director, KSIDC, reaffirming Kerala’s strong commitment to building a vibrant MedTech ecosystem that fosters innovation, supports start-ups, and connects seamlessly with global markets.
In her remarks, Dr. Jancy from the Dubai Health Authority highlighted the importance of collaboration between regions in advancing accessible, technology-driven healthcare solutions.
The event also featured a special recorded address by Mr. Andrew Cleeland, CEO of Fogarty Innovation, USA, whose insights on fostering MedTech entrepreneurship and building start-up ecosystems brought a valuable international dimension. The participation of Fogarty Innovation — a globally respected MedTech accelerator — added immense value to the Kerala–UAE collaboration initiative, reinforcing the importance of innovation-led partnerships.
The Confluence showcased emerging technologies from Kerala, with inspiring presentations from Arun Cherian (Rise Bionics) and Dr. Shaji K. Ayillath (64 Codon), followed by thought-provoking insights from Dr. Palat K. Menon (AstraGene, UAE), Rahul Arya (Artefact SAPMENA & India), and Dr. Brajesh Mittal (Medcare Hospital).
The event concluded with the announcement of the World MedTech Forum – The Way Forward, laying the foundation for sustained global engagement and cross-border innovation in healthcare technology.
The WMC 2025 marked another milestone in Kerala’s journey toward global partnerships — connecting innovation, industry, and international collaboration to advance healthcare for the future.
