KMTC 8TH SCM AT DR MOOPEN'S MEDICAL COLLEGE, WAYANAD, 19 JANUARY 2024

On January 19 2024, the 8th KMTC Stakeholders Connect Meet (SCM) was held in association with Dr. Moopen’s iNEST Wayanad, Kerala. The event aimed to unite key stakeholders within the Kerala MedTech ecosystem, fostering knowledge sharing, collaboration, and advancements in Medical Devices and Technology. The theme, “Accelerating Medical Technology Innovations: The Critical Role of Incubators and Accelerators in MedTech Success,” focused on detailing the support provided by Incubators and Accelerators to Medical Devices/Medical Technology (MedTech) innovations and ventures.

Mr. Anoop Ambika, Chief Executive Officer of Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), inaugurated the Stakeholder Connect Meet. The event drew enthusiastic participation, with over 61 attendees, including representatives from the Medical Technology Industry, Researchers, Academicians, Government officials, Incubators, Accelerators, and Startups. This diverse representation ensured the exchange of valuable insights and perspectives, contributing to the event’s success. 

Five speakers from prominent organizations, such as Kerala Startup Mission, TIMED – Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, iNEST, Dr. Moopen’s Medical College, National Institute of Technology Calicut, and Malabar Cancer Centre, shared information on their incubation facilities, opportunities, and support. The SCM also featured interactive panel discussions that facilitated engaging conversations and networking opportunities. These discussions allowed stakeholders to exchange ideas, explore potential collaborations, and collectively address industry challenges.

An Experience Sharing Session titled “Doctors to Entrepreneurs: Shaping the Future of MedTech Entrepreneurship & Innovation” provided was an eye opener.
