The 11th Stakeholders Connect Meet (SCM), organized by KMTC in association with ICM and KCHF, was held on January 16-17, 2025, at Hotel Marine Inn, Kochi. Inaugurated by Hon. Minister of Co-operation, Sri. V.N. Vasavan, the event focused on strengthening cooperative hospitals, fostering innovation, and enhancing market adaptability. It brought together hospital administrators and stakeholders to discuss strategies for operational efficiency, revenue management, regulatory compliance, and the integration of MedTech solutions into Kerala’s cooperative healthcare system.

KMTC’s session on “Harnessing the MedTech Ecosystem,” led by Mr. Rejeesh G R, emphasized affordable MedTech solutions, research and development, and strategic partnerships for healthcare innovation. Other expert-led discussions covered hospital dynamics, patient targeting, competition with large hospitals, human resource management, cost optimization, and quality improvement. Sessions by industry leaders, including Dr. Praveen Muralidharan (KIMS Health) and Dr. Harikrishna Varma (SCTIMST), highlighted the role of technology and R&D in advancing cooperative healthcare.

The meet resulted in discussions on critical key action points and proposed plans on forming a consortium of primary hospitals, establishing Super specialty hospitals in Alappuzha and Wayanad, and manufacturing medical gadgets. Discussions also focused on creating a cooperative hospital network for medical equipment supply, reviving a pharmaceutical factory, implementing uniform hospital management software, and adopting advanced medical technologies. With active participation from experts and stakeholders, the event reinforced KMTC’s mission to build a robust MedTech ecosystem, ensuring financial sustainability, operational excellence, and quality healthcare delivery in Kerala.
