Future of Medical Plastics: Processing Technology & Innovation

The workshop on “Future of Medical Plastics: Processing Technology & Innovation”, jointly organised by the Indian Plastics Institute (IPI), Cochin Chapter, the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET), Kochi, and the Kerala Medical Technology Consortium (KMTC), was successfully held on 22 April 2026 at CIPET, Kochi.

The programme served as a focused platform to explore emerging opportunities in medical plastics manufacturing, advanced processing technologies, material innovations, and their growing role within the medical device industry. Bringing together stakeholders from industry, academia, research institutions, startups, and the MedTech ecosystem, the workshop highlighted the strategic importance of medical plastics as a key enabler of healthcare innovation.
