Bio Connect 2.0, a premier event in biotechnology, healthcare, and MedTech, was organized by the Kerala Life Sciences Industries Parks (KLIP) under the Department of Industries, Government of Kerala. Held in Thiruvananthapuram from September 26–28, 2024, this flagship event brought together global industry leaders, innovators, investors, and researchers to advance the frontiers of biotechnology, healthcare, and MedTech.

The event served as an exceptional platform for knowledge exchange, networking, investment opportunities, and showcasing groundbreaking innovations. Through exhibitions, keynote addresses, panel discussions, and networking sessions, Bio Connect 2.0 fostered collaboration among industry stakeholders, academic institutions, and R&D organizations, while charting the future course for biotechnology and MedTech advancements.

KMTC’s Active Participation

The Kerala Medical Technology Consortium (KMTC) participated as a Silver Sponsor, playing a pivotal role in the event’s success. KMTC facilitated the presence of prominent speakers from the industry and medical device companies from the Ecosystem in the State , highlighting Kerala’s growing potential as a MedTech hub. These introductions fostered collaborations, joint ventures, and the co-development of innovative technologies, strengthening Kerala’s global reputation in MedTech.
KMTC also spearheaded industry-academia networking, creating pathways for partnerships in research, clinical trials, and medical device development to address pressing global healthcare challenges.

At the KMTC booth, the spotlight was on Kerala’s thriving MedTech ecosystem. MSMEs and startups, including Kodi Healthcare, Bions Medical, and a unique MedTech innovation developed by medical students from Trivandrum Medical College, showcased their cutting-edge solutions. The booth also unveiled Kerala’s MedTech roadmap for the next decade, emphasizing the importance of breaking silos to drive sectoral growth.
KMTC used this platform to attract global investors, presenting compelling opportunities for startup funding and scaling initiatives. High-profile visits, including those by the Honorable Industries Minister and senior government officials, further underscored Kerala’s strategic focus and potential in the MedTech sector.
