About Us
Kerala Medical Technology Consortium (KMTC), a flagship initiative of Government of Kerala, aims at positioning the state as a Global destination for medical technology and devices. KMTC is a futuristic and highly ambitious program envisioning to create an appropriate ecosystem in the state to foster medical innovation, R&D, technology development entrepreneurship and manufacturing over the next decade. KMTC start-up ecosystem is modelled around the competitive cluster environment concept.
It is conceived as a new “Beyond Cluster” model where the entities will interact and iterate between themselves and evolve organically. The ecosystem will be developed by bringing together and empowering all the key institutions, and defining their relevant roles, setting up new ones to fill the gaps, creating talents and capabilities and fuelling the growth with appropriate incubation facilities. The consortium ensures support to entrepreneurs in its journey from ideation to market and provides financial, mentoring, technical, marketing, legal and regulatory supports reducing the entrepreneur struggles in the several valleys of death in medical device and technology development cycle.
